Smoking is the single greatest cause of preventable illness and premature death in the UK. Every year, 120,000 smokers in the UK die as a result of their smoking habit.

Smoking causes 30% of all cancer deaths (including at least 80% of lung cancer deaths), 17% of all heart disease deaths and at least 80% of deaths from bronchitis and emphysema.

Did you know that the ALL WALES STOP SMOKING SERVICE provides help to people who wish to give up smoking and it won't cost you anything?

Stop Smoking Wales is a free NHS service which provides:

Between 1st April 2007 and 31st March 2008, 588 people from Wrexham contacted the Stop Smoking Service for support and 364 of those attended at least one session with a Smoking Cessation Specialist. After one month over 40% of the people had still quit the cigarettes!

Did you know... a person who smokes 20 cigarettes a day  could save over £1,000 in 6 months if they quit? That could pay for a nice summer holiday!!
