Moving More Often

Residents in Abbeyfield Housing enjoying a Moving More Often session

Moving More Often is a scheme to get older people moving more often and increase their levels of physical activity.

Many older people associate advancing years with not being able to do the things they enjoyed in their younger years!

Moving More Often gives older people a chance to increase/ maintain the activities of daily living they are able to carry out independently.

It is not a structured exercise class or dance.

It is promoting regular physical activity and movement.

30 Minutes of physical activity on 5 or more days of the week.

This may be unobtainable and unrealistic for many older people!

Moving More Often aims to help frail older people increase the amount of physical activity they can do at a level suitable for their specific needs.
